Author Guidelines
1. General information.
The journal "SocioTime / Social Time" publishes articles that are distinguished by their scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance. Authors of articles can be scientists, researchers, candidates and doctors of science, teachers, graduate students and applicants from higher educational institutions and academic institutes from Russia or abroad, as well as practical researchers. Manuscripts should not contain substantial elements of material that has been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.
In case of discovery of the manuscript in several editions, the published article will be withdrawn from print. The editors accept for publication materials in Russian or English on the topics of three main sections of the journal (philosophy, sociology and history).
Special attention should be paid to the quality of the translation. The translation should be conducted by a native English speaker, written in high-quality English.
2. Requirements to the manuscript design
2.1. General requirements:
- Classification symbols Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) (upper left corner);
- The initials and surname of the author, in Russian and English (centered, font size 10);
- Abstracts of articles in Russian and English (200–250 words, justification page, font size 9);
- Keywords (no more than 5–10, font size 9);
- The manuscript 7–16 pages (16–40 thousand characters, including spaces) in A4 format, including figures, tables and graphs. The text is made in the editor Word (font Times New Roman, size 11, single spaced). The images should be referenced;
- References in the text in square brackets in accordance with the requirements;
- List of references in the language of publication (font size 9) at the end of the text and in order of references in the text of the article;
- Transliteration of literary sources (References) is carried out using the site https://translit.ru/ as follows: authors (transliteration); translation of the title of the article in a transliterated version; translation of the title of the article into English in square
brackets; source name (transliteration, italics); output with designations in English;
- Information about the authors in Russian and English (font size 9): Full name, degree, position, place of work or study with a mailing address, tel. and E-mail.
2.2. Requirements for the content and structure of the article (main elements of the article)
Abstract (200–250 words) – summary of the content of the article. It should clearly indicate the following components:
- Introduction: purpose, relevance, problem statement;
- Methods: methods and approaches used by the author in the study;
- The main ideas of the study, the results obtained and their discussion (Results);
- Conclusion: theoretical and practical signifi of the research results.
Keywords (5–10 words) reflect the main provisions, achievements, results, terminology of scientific research.
The structure of the manuscript is as follows:
- Introduction: purpose, objectives, relevance of the study, problem statement, background, overview of the main studies and publications on which the author relies, modern views on the problem, unresolved issues, etc.;
- Research methods: methods and approaches (empirical and theoretical) used in the study; organization and progress of the study;
- The main ideas of the study, the results obtained and their discussion: presentation of the main ideas of the study; generalization and discussion of its results; conclusions and recommendations for further research arising from the work;
- Conclusion: theoretical and practical significance of the results; guidelines for further research in this area.
The list of sources.
3. Materials shall be sent:
- The author's statement addressed to the editor;
- The manuscript;
- Recommendation of the supervisor (for students);
- Certificate on checking the article in the "Antiplagiat" system (articles with original text of at least 80 % are allowed to be published).
4. The review process and publication decision.
The manuscript must meet the requirements specified in paragraphs 1–3. The manuscript can be returned to the author with comments for revision. After receiving the revised text, the manuscript is again considered by the editorial board. The date of receipt of the article shall be the date of receipt of the final edited version of the article. Materials that are not designed according to the requirements of the journal are not considered.
5. The list of sources.
The list of sources used is drawn up in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 7.0.5–2008.
It is advisable to refer primarily to original sources from scientific journals included in global citation indices. It is recommended to use 10–30 sources, of which there should be at least 5 publications over the past 5 years, 3-5 foreign sources.
You must provide a DOI or Internet access address.
