Аннотация

Статья посвящена изучению демографических процессов современной Великобритании. Объект исследования – демография страны, предмет – изменения численного, возрастного и этнического состава населения. Основным источником информации выступили данные официальных переписей, проводимых раз в десять лет. Подробному анализу подверглись динамика численности населения, рождаемость, этническая структура, возрастные сдвиги и расширение практики использования иностранных языков. Особое внимание уделено деградации института семьи и увеличению среднего возраста британских граждан. Работа опирается на значительный объём актуального статистического материала, ранее не представленного в отечественной историографии, что позволило выявить скрытые взаимосвязи демографических процессов и определить долгосрочные направления трансформации общественной структуры современного британского населения с учётом его этнокультурной специфики и пространственного распределения. Методологическую основу работы составляет вторичный анализ официальных статистических данных. В качестве ключевых методов исследования применяются демографический анализ в динамике, сравнительный и проблемно-хронологический подходы. Выявлен главный тренд – абсолютный и относительный рост доли сообществ африканского, азиатского и европейского происхождения, прежде всего среди подрастающего поколения. До половины всех родившихся детей в начале 2020-х гг. приходится на матерей иностранного происхождения. Приобретают популярность имена, не относящиеся к британскому культурному полю. Приезжие обеспечивают основной прирост трудоспособного населения, тогда как уровень рождаемости среди коренных британцев на протяжении последних сорока лет стабильно остаётся ниже порога естественного воспроизводства. Формируется демографическое смещение в сторону потомков мигрантов. Длительный характер выявленных изменений свидетельствует об их стабильности и структурной устойчивости. Работа может представлять интерес для широкого круга читателей, а также специалистов в области демографии, политологии и этнографии.
