Actual problems of penal law and procedure in XXI century (for materials a scientific - practical conference took place at the department of penal law and procedure in June 2008)

In June 2008 a scientific-practical conference in memory of Honored scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor Volkov B.S. took place at the department of penal law and procedure of the law faculty.
Professors, post-graduates and students made reports devoted to actual problems of penal law and procedure in XXI century. After that there was an interesting discussions of the problems stated, some original solutions were suggested. The conference included discussions of the latest changes in the sphere of Russian penal law and procedure, penitentiary legislation that had been made during last 2 years.
By the way, some trends of perspective development of penal law, procedure, criminology, penitentiary law were outlined. professors as well as post-graduates and students made interesting proposals about the improvement of current legislation and practice of its use.
