Valuation of economic geographical position and social and economic development of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

The article deals with a comprehensive analysis of the economy of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic at present stage. It analyzes the latest statistical data which reflect the key figures of economy of the region. The article covers the fundamental principles of Pridnestrovian economy and disputes the deficit of its sovereignty. Conclusions stating that Transnistria is highly dependent on Russian energetic and financial aid is made based on analytical data. The emphasis is made on the fact that local authorities have missed an opportunity of economic diversification which resulted in external dependence of the republic.
