This article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to treatment of essence of the term «adaptation» from the point of view of detection of the importance of different groups of factors — external and internal, influencing parameters of activity of separate branches and their enterprises. The question of new economic conditions in which managing subjects of the Russian automobile branch — membership of Russia in the WTO function, creation of the Customs Union within the certain states of the CIS, etc. is separately investigated.
