Main features and problems of the Kaluga region innovative pharmaceutical cluster development

This paper proposes a systematic analysis of research characterizing the methodological foundations of spatial development strategy in the region, especially the cluster forms forms of organization of economic space. The article deals with development and current state of the pharmaceutical Kaluga region cluster, the current level of development of transport, energy, engineering, housing and social infrastructure. It defines the current level of innovative territorial cluster organizational development, identified development prospects and the level of scientific, technological and educational potential of the pharmaceutical cluster.
