Abstract
The article is concerned to the definition and importance of such phenomenon as virtual reality in contemporary world and its roots in the history of culture. It is shown that in Romanticism was developed an arsenal of philosophical, conceptual, artistic and stylistic tools and methods for virtual reality’s creation.
