Abstract
The article is a survey on the role of Chinese banks in the modernization of the economy and countervailing the global financial and trade crises in 2008—2009. Through the analysis of indicators of economic growth, inflation and banking rates the author draws a conclusion on the beginning of an upward trend in China’s economy.
