The realization of electoral rights of the nobility in the first half of the 19th century (on materials of middle Volga region)

Abstract

The article deals with the social-political development of Middle Volga nobility in the first half of the 19 th century. After studying the peculiarities of nobility elections in Penza and Simbirsk provinces, the author determines the reality of class self-government and nobility representation in state institutions in Russian province on the eve of the Great Reforms.
