«Take away all the Non-Party Men...» The Transformation of Soviet Secret Service into a Detachment of Combat for the Bolchevik Party

Abstract

The article is devoted to mutual relations of Communist party and the agencies of state security in the first years of the Soviet authority. On a concrete historical material the author has shown process of transformation of the extreme commissions on struggle against counterrevolution in fighting group RKP(b), mechanisms by means of which the party of bolsheviks supervised over their activity, used for suppression of opponents of the established political mode.
