Abstract

The article seeks to conduct research on the possible consequences on existing regimes of the Angara River after the construction of Motyginskaya hydropower plant. Commissioning not only will make significant changes in the existing microclimate of the upstream, but also will violate the existing ice regimes of the Lower Angara. Thorough studies of the effects and model creations of existing regimes changes can contribute to a change in the project in order to prevent possible catastrophic consequences.
