Synovial cyst: case from practice

Abstract

The article presents a clinical observation of the case of the synovial cyst and a literature review. Clinically, the cyst is characterized as an elastic, resilient formation localized at the root of the nail, above the distal interphalangeal joint. Element is smooth, single, cyst like, domed. Clinical observation is of interest to dermatovenereologists and other related physicians, as a rare case of pathology. Key words: synovial cyst, periarticular cyst, mucoid cyst, surgical excision, osteoarthritis of the distal interphalangeal joint, allergic contact dermatitis, clinical case.
