Abstract
This article shows the review of practical guidelines concerning the diagnosis and treatment of community-acquired pneumonia. The article deals with the problem of characteristics of the etiology and diagnosis of this disease and evaluation of the severity of pneumonia and pneumonia prognosis. We show the criteria for hospitalization and patients transfer to Resuscitation and Intensive Therapy Unit. The article presents the managements of patients at outpatient treatment stage and at hospital and shows the characteristics of the beginning of antimicrobial therapy.
