Abstract
In this work, we study inhomogeneous martensitic transformations at low-temperature deformation via wrapping of rolled polycrystalline Fe–28%Ni–5%Mo (at %) alloys on a mandrel in two directions: along the rolling direction and transverse direction. X-ray diffraction reveals that γ ⇒ α transformation at low-temperature deformation under bending on the opposite sides of the sample is localized in different groups of grains.
