Author Guidelines

Rules for publishing

3.1. General requirements

The text and design of the publication should be carried out in accordance with these requirements. The pages of the publication text and the illustrations and tables included in the publication should comply with the A4 format according to GOST 9327. The electronic version of the publication should be in the rtf format with the settings of the A4 paper size (210x297mm) through single spacing. The font color should be black, the height of letters, numbers and other signs should be at least 1.8 mm (12 point). The publication text should be formatted using the following margin sizes: right – 25 mm, left – 25 mm, top – 25 mm, and bottom – 25 mm. It is allowed to use computer capabilities to emphasize certain terms, formulas, and theorems by using different font types. The quality of the printed text and illustrations, tables, and computer printouts must meet the requirement of clear reproduction. It is not recommended to use tables and diagrams that contain a large amount of text material in image format. When publishing, it is necessary to maintain uniform density, contrast, and clarity throughout the text.

3.2. Construction of the publication

The UDC index (at the top left) and the title of the publication (in the center) are set in uppercase, bold font, 12-point size. The authors' names, patronymics, and surnames are set in bold font, 12-point size, in the center, below the title. The authors' positions, academic degrees, titles, and email addresses, as well as the name of the institution, are set in italics, 12-point size, in the center, below the authors' initials and surnames. Abstract and keywords are 10-point, page-wide, with a narrower print margin (12 mm on the left and 10 mm on the right). In English: the title of the publication (centered) is uppercase, bold, and 12-point; the authors' initials and surnames are bold, 12-point, centered below the title; the authors' positions, academic degrees, titles, and email addresses are italicized, 12-point, centered below the authors' initials and surnames; the abstract and keywords are 10-point, full-width, with a narrower print margin (12 mm on the left and 10 mm on the right). Headers of sections, subsections, and paragraphs, if the author uses them to emphasize the structure of the article, should be printed with a paragraph indent, capitalized, and without a period at the end.

3.3. The publication pages are not numbered.
3.4. Illustrations

Drawings, graphs, schemes, diagrams, photographs should be placed in the publication immediately after the text in which they are mentioned for the first time, or on the next page. All illustrations should be referenced in the publication. Drawings, graphs, diagrams, schemes placed in the publication should meet the requirements of state standards of the Unified System of Design Documentation (ESCD). Illustrations should be aligned in the center (the drawings should not exceed the boundaries of the printed field). The captions for the illustrations should be placed below them and numbered with Arabic numerals. The title of the illustration and its explanation should be typed in 10-point font.

3.5. Tables

The title of the table, if any, should reflect its content and be accurate and concise. If there are several tables in the text, the word "Table" followed by an Arabic numeral indicating the table's sequence in the text should be aligned to the right, and the table's header should be aligned to the center. If a part of the table is transferred, the title should be placed only above the first part of the table. The table should be placed immediately after the text where it is first mentioned or on the next page. Tables should not exceed the width of the printed field. All tables must be referenced. A table with a large number of rows may be placed on a separate page. Tables are usually limited by lines on the left, right, and bottom. The font size in a table may be smaller than in the text. The headings of columns are usually written parallel to the rows of the table. If necessary, the headings of columns may be written perpendicularly. The header of a table must be separated by a line from the rest of the table. If there is only one table in the publication, it is not numbered (the word "table" is not placed on the left either). The information contained in the table should not be completely duplicated in the text. By drawing attention to the table data, the author comments on them and compares the indicators of different columns or rows. If the data is simply listed in both the text and the table, only one of the data presentation options should be used.

3.6. Formulas and Equations

Equations and formulas should be separated from the text in a separate line. At least one free line should be left above and below each formula or equation. If an equation does not fit in one line, it should be transferred after the equal sign (=) or after the plus (+), minus (–), multiplication (x), division (:) or other mathematical signs, and the sign at the beginning of the next line should be repeated. When transferring a formula on a sign symbolizing the multiplication operation, the "X" sign is used. Explanations of the symbols and numerical coefficients should be given directly below the formula in the same sequence as they appear in the formula. Formulas should be numbered in order using Arabic numerals in parentheses at the far right end of the line.

Example

A=a:b, (1) B=c:e. (2)

References in the text to the ordinal numbers of formulas are given in brackets.

Example – ... in formula (1).

The order of presentation of mathematical equations in the publication is the same as that of formulas.

3.7. References

The list of literature used in writing the article is given at the end of the article (in alphabetical order, with numbering, the author's surname or the first two words of the title, if the bibliographic description of the source begins with the title, is in italics). When designing the list of literature, you should follow the GOST R 7.0.100-2018 (Appendix A "Examples of bibliographic entries"). References to the sources used should be given in square brackets. For example: [1, p. 50–53].

3.8. Footnotes

Footnotes and notes are allowed in the publication (in exceptional cases). Footnotes and notes of a substantive plan should be given page by page, kegel 10 (without violating the established sizes of the printed field).
