The problem of computer knowledge representation in the structure of artificial intelligence

The work is about philosophical and methodological analysis of contemporary interdisciplinary research areas, named Artificial Intelligence (AI), in which overall context the problem of computer representations of knowledge is made. The article differs understanding of AI as a project of the theory and a set of specific applications (so-called intelligent systems), isolates and studies approaches to build intelligent systems and examines the most important issues, sections and directions of AI research, the center of which is the problem of computer representation knowledge.
