 Mir Rossii was founded in1992 and has been published by the National Research University Higher School of Economicssince1998.

Mir Rossii journal strives to continue the national sociological tradition, in which history and modernity have always been deeply linked. The journal purposefully introduces the reader to original empirical research, sources on the history of Russian social thought, the latest statistical data, and the best examples of scientific journalism. The journal focuses on the problems of modern Russian society, which has determined the priority of sociological materials in most issues.
