Abstract

Information concerning the approaches to projecting specialized ecological trails for blind and visually impaired people is presented. Interesting recommendations for the landscape organization are proposed that permit to achieve not only scenic and aesthetic effects but also therapeutic ones. The authors recommend the choice of plants for various types of mini-gardens, such as “fragrant” gardens, coniferous gardens, bark and bird gardens, fruit and herb gardens to be located along ecological trails. Moreover, these plants can be used for the beautification purposes in combination with the landscape architecture under conditions of Central Russia. Such landscape therapy projects can be realized at the territories of specialized rehabilitative health centres and other health care facilities.
