Technical Condition of Earthen Dams at Nizhegorodskaya HPP After 60 Years of Operation

Kuznetsov V., Ladenko S.

摘要

The complex of hydraulic engineering installations includes five earthen dams. All facilities are of Class I. The diagnostic parameters of dam operation and technical condition monitored via in-situ observation for seepage mode, seepage strength, settlement, static stability, etc. generally meet design assumptions and safety criteria. Despite individual defects and signs of “aging” identified over the period of earthen dam operation, these are currently in a satisfactory and operable state. The long, 60-year operating period of the dams with no serious overhauls or emergencies has demonstrated the high reliability of the facilities, the correctness of the design and technological solutions adopted and implemented in the construction, and the high professional level of their operation in close cooperation with science.

Automatic Process Controller for the Adler Thermal Electric Power Plant

Talamanov S., Abramov A., Salenko A., Popov M., Zhuravskii D., Tverdovskii N.

摘要

The technical and functional structures of the SPPA-T3000 software-hardware system for the integrated automatic process controller for the Adler Thermal electric power plant are described. The thermal-mechanical equipment and electrical equipment are characterized as a unified object of automation. The major difficulties in creating an integrated automatic process controller are analyzed. The experience of Siemens as a supplier of basic program and instrumentation systems for core plant operations is summarized, ranging from the development of integrated automatic process controllers to operational engineering setup.

Development of a Technique for Calculating Fuel Gasification in Hearth Gas Generators1

Suchkov S.

摘要

An empirical technique is developed for calculating fuel gasification in a hearth gas generator and tested on a small experimental-industrial gas generator. The results agree with experimental data. It is proposed that this technique be used for calculations of large gas generators after it has been optimized.

Algorithm and Software for Calculating Optimal Regimes of the Process Water Supply System at the Kalininskaya NPP1

Murav’ev V., Kochetkov A., Glazova E., Zefirov S.

摘要

An algorithm and software for calculating the optimal operating regimes of the process water supply system at the Kalininskaya NPP are described. The parameters of the optimal regimes are determined for time varying meteorological conditions and condensation loads of the NPP. The optimal flow of the cooling water in the turbines is determined computationally; a regime map with the data on the optimal water consumption distribution between the coolers and displaying the regimes with an admissible heat load on the natural cooling lakes is composed. Optimizing the cooling system for a 4000-MW NPP will make it possible to conserve at least 155,000 MW · h of electricity per year. The procedure developed can be used to optimize the process water supply systems of nuclear and thermal power plants.

Kulikov A., Lachugin V., Anan’ev V.

摘要

The application of the differential principle in the traveling wave method of determining fault locations in overhead lines with branches by using the navigational approach is examined. The least-squares method is used to determine the wave propagation velocity. Results characterizing the accuracy of fault location determination by means of the proposed principle are presented.

Experience of Burning Biomass of Various Types in Russia and Belarus1

Ryabov G., Litun D., Pitsukha E., Teplitskii Y., Borodulya V.

摘要

The use of biomass-fired boilers is considered as an example to show the main problems and ways to resolve them for the effective and ecologically friendly burning of wood and agricultural waste. Recommendations for design, adjustment, and operation of biomass boilers are formulated. A prototype 500 kW hot-water boiler with grate-and-cyclone fired furnace for burning fine biofuels was designed in Belarus. The advantages of such furnaces are shown. Results of studying the operation of the boiler are presented.

Principles of an Integrated Approach to Determining the Efficiency of Stand-Alone Wind/Diesel Power Systems1

Elistratov V., Kudryasheva I.

摘要

The paper presents the authors’ method for evaluating the efficiency of and selecting equipment and operating conditions for renewable and conventional power systems located in the Arctic region of Russia. The use of renewable energy sources and the creation of wind/diesel power systems may be an effective solution for reducing fuel consumption and electricity generation by diesel power plants. This would improve the energy and environmental security of consumers, especially in zones of high wind power potential. The method allows energy and economic optimization of renewable power systems in the extreme climatic conditions of the Arctic region of Russia.

Modeling of HVDC and DC Links Based Voltage Converters in Software for Calculating Long-Time Regimes of Power Systems1

Bulatov B., Gol’dshtein M., Korbukov N.

摘要

The particularities of modeling the HVDC links and DC links based on voltage converters in calculations of the long-time regimes of power systems are examined. A transmission model in the form of two voltage converters coupled by the value of the total transmission losses and general constraints is proposed. Tests showed that this model can be used in different software for calculating the long-time regimes of power systems.
