Abstract

The paper presents the results of studying the effectiveness of using a phase-shifting transformer (PST) at the Volga Hydroelectric Station. It is shown that PST can be effectively used at the Volga Hydroelectric Station to ensure the distribution of the entire available power using advanced power modes while considering the implementation of the program of updating the power generating equipment and improving the adjacent electrical grid system.
