Abstract
An analysis of studies to improve the dissipating devices of the water-supply systems of navigable sluices is presented. Using as an example a projected low-pressure sluice, recommendations are given for determining the volume of the quenching chamber, the area of the outlet spaces of the galleries, the length of the stilling area, and the constructive layout of the outlet trenches and on the horizontal block screen
