Abstract
Modern approaches and methods for building new and modernizing existing steam turbines employed by JSC “Power machines” for technical renovation of power plants are discussed. New results are obtained from a computational study of the effect of the major structural parameters of the flow-through section (number of stages, rotation frequency, exhaust area of the final stage, changes in root bypasses, etc.) of a multistage steam turbine on its operating efficiency.
