Abstract

Avariant of protection of the public from electric shock in the event of breaks of the phase and neutral wires of 380 V overhead lines is examined. It is proposed that a microprocessor electric-power meter installed at the end of the overhead line be supplemented with functions making it possible to determine breaks of phase and neutral wires and form a command to trip a circuit breaker installed at the beginning of the line.
