Automatic control of manufacturing processes: A model
摘要
A model is proposed for the automatic control of manufacturing processes and the necessary preparations. The model is based on step-by-step implementation of a systematic approach and a feedback mechanism. In automated control, the preparations, involving CAD/CAPP/CAM/PDM systems, are integrated with control of the manufacturing process. The model permits the use of paperless technology based on a 3D model of the part and three important stages in the derivation and analysis of information regarding the operation of the working centers. Subsystems permit monitoring of the equipment and the cutting tool and analysis of product quality so as to formulate corrective measures on the basis of feedback mechanisms.

Influence of the elastic properties of supply drives on their dynamic characteristics
摘要
The supply drives of numerically controlled machine tools with a screw–nut transmission may be described on the basis of models adequately reproducing the resonant phenomena in the position and speed control loops due to longitudinal and torsional vibrations of the structural elements. The influence of such phenomena on the stability and dynamics of the drive is considered, along with effective preventive measures.

Stability of shaping trajectories in milling: Synergetic concepts
摘要
The use of synergetic concepts in studying the steady shaping trajectories of the tool relative to the workpiece in end milling is discussed, with allowance for elastic displacements and their stability. A two-level hierarchy of dynamic equations is employed. At the first level, steady trajectories are considered. At the second, their stability is analyzed on the basis of variational equations for these trajectories. The case in which the pulsed reaction of the system is an order of magnitude less than one period of the displacement cycle is considered.

Optimal internal grinding cycles in multidimensional control-parameter space
摘要
A method is proposed for the design of optimal internal grinding cycles in multidimensional control- parameter space, under numerous technological constraints. This method is based on stepwise modeling of metal removal in terms of specified machining properties, with allowance for elastic deformation and the cutting kinematics. Optimization is based on dynamic programming, which permits any number of technological constraints to be taken into account and is not sensitive to the type of mathematical models employed or the constraints on the target function.

Algorithmic model of the continuum design of grinding
摘要
An algorithmic model is proposed for the design of grinding operations in multiproduct manufacturing. This continuum model is based on prediction of the performance of abrasive tools and improves their effectiveness in a wide range of conditions. That improves the overall efficiency of abrasive machining and hence the competitiveness of the manufacturing enterprise.

Surface polishing of lithium-niobate single crystals
摘要
The polishing of a lithium-niobate single crystal is considered. Specifically, the influence of the applied pressure and relative speed on the productivity and the quality of the machined surface is studied. A formula is given for the total depth of the surface layer removed in finishing and the polishing time required for its removal.

摘要
The influence of various abrasive materials on the polishing of lithium-niobate single crystals is studied experimentally. In the analysis of the polishing tool, the tool life, the productivity, and the quality of the machined surface are taken into account.
