Calculating the Manufacturing Parameters of a Shaver and Roller System Used to Produce Round-Tooth Cylindrical Gears

Abstract

Determination of the parameters of a shaver and roller system for finishing the round teeth of cylindrical gears is considered. Algorithms are proposed for selecting machining pathways appropriate to the gear crown of the shaver and roller system. A mathematical model is derived for calculating the radii of curvature of the convex and concave sides of its teeth.
