Ball End Mill with Curved Cutting Edge and Constant Cutting Geometry

Abstract

A design method is proposed for a ball end mill with constant inclination of the cutting edge to the spherical section. The tooth profile specified in the normal cross section is the generatrix, while the curved cutting edge at the sphere in the form of a loxodrome is the directrix.
