Calculations of tool hardness in the aviation industry

Abstract

For the aviation industry, a formula is proposed for converting the Brinell hardness of metals and alloys to values of the relative hardness according to the Mohs scale. As an example, the Mohs hardness is calculated for the basic tool steels.
