Abstract

A polycrystalline sample of superconductor Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 was synthesized by mechanical alloying, which was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction analysis. The sample heat treatment time is reduced more than twice in comparison with the heat treatment time in the solid-phase synthesis method. The superconducting transition temperature of the synthesized sample is 37 K, which is close to the critical temperature for the Ba0.6K0.4Fe2As2 single crystal.
