Synthesis and structure of bis(4-iodophenoxy)triphenylantimony and 4-iodophenoxytetraphenylantimony

A reaction of triphenylantimony with 4-iodophenol in the presence of hydrogen peroxide furnished bis(4-iodophenoxy)triphenylantimony, which when treated with pentaphenylantimony gave 4-iodophenoxytetraphenylantimony. The structure of organoantimony compounds was studied by ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
