Abstract

The results of verification of a model of the formation of deposits of fission products in an aerosol module for integrated experiments in thermogradient tubes are presented. Nucleation, vapor condensation on particles and tube surfaces, and coagulation and deposition of aerosol particles are taken into account in the model. The AERMOD module, developed at IBRAE RAN for modeling the dynamics of aerosols and vapors of fission products in the first loop of VVER in a severe accident, was used to perform the calculations, which showed satisfactory agreement with the experimental density distribution of deposits along a tube.
