Experimental Investigation of Patterns in an Acoustic Field’s Decay in Shallow Fresh Water with a Free Boundary

Abstract

The results are presented from an experimental study of the spatial attenuation of sound in shallow water using a near-surface emitter and combined receiving module. The receiver consists of a sound pressure receiver and a three-component receiver of particle velocity (a vector receiver).
