Abstract
The dissociation dynamics induced in (CF3I)n(CF3Br)m mixed molecular clusters by femtosecond UV radiation is studied. UV excitation and photoionization probing are used in combination with time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The process of electron-vibrational relaxation, which leads to the dissociation of clusters, is discussed. Data on the characteristic rates of the various stages of this process are obtained.
