Photoinduced Processes in Mixed Molecular Clusters (CF3I)n(CF3Br)m under the Action of Femtosecond Laser Radiation

Abstract

The dissociation dynamics induced in (CF3I)n(CF3Br)m mixed molecular clusters by femtosecond UV radiation is studied. UV excitation and photoionization probing are used in combination with time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The process of electron-vibrational relaxation, which leads to the dissociation of clusters, is discussed. Data on the characteristic rates of the various stages of this process are obtained.
