Abstract
Filtration combustion in a two-layer sandwich of reactive and inert porous media placed in a parallel-plate duct with heat- and gas-proof outer surfaces, penetrable interface, and open butt ends was studied by 2D numerical modeling. Spatio-temporal profiles of extent of conversion, temperature, pressure, and gas flow vectors were calculated as a function of width and porosity of fuel layer.
