Si-filled ceramic composite by thermal explosion in the Al–SiO2 system

Abstract

Si-filled ceramic composite was prepared through thermal explosion in the Al–SiO2 system. The material can be expected to find its application to reprocessing quartz wastes into cermets to be used in microelectronic devices.
