An Experimental Study of the Wear of the Radial Shaft Seals of Rotary Shafts

This article provides a detailed description of an experimental device to study the problems of wear of lip seals in frictional contact with a rotary shaft. The empirical dependences are presented for assessment of the magnitude of the wear of rubber and polyurethane lip seals depending on their lifetime.
