Abstract

This paper presents a method for forming an exact self-similar solution to the problem of hydrodynamic calculation for a radial friction bearing that operates using an electrically conductive liquid lubricant conditioned by the bearing bushing surface melt, taking into account the influence of pressure and temperature on the viscosity and electrical conductivity of the liquid lubricant under adiabatic conditions. The asymptotic solution of a system of differential equations taking into account boundary conditions on the surface of a bearing bushing \(r = - {\Phi (}\theta {\text{)}}\) has been found in the form of a series in powers of small parameter K caused by the melt and by the rate of mechanical energy dissipation.
