The paper presents the results of the analysis of the dynamics of the formation of extracellular DNA networks by neutrophils isolated from peripheral blood and their fragmentation. During the experiment, it was found that deoxyribonuclease I (DNase I) cleaves DNA – the basis of extracellular traps. The ability to secrete this enzyme component in some pathogenic bacteria (S. pyogenes, S. aureus or S. pneumoniae) probably explains their ability to release from extracellular structures.
