Abstract

Described increase in the virulence of Salmonella in the presence of small regulatory molecules. The influence of homoserine, among which the most important role played by N-(3-oxo-hexanoyl)-homos-erine lactone, on the induction of the promoter rck the strain S. typhimurium LT2, which determines the resistance of the complement system. Revealed increased resistance of the strain to phagocytosis in the presence of homoserine.
