Abstract
Beta-endorphin is a compound of peptide nature with a high regulatory activity on the immune system. The existence of long-term immunoregulatory effects of beta-endorphin is of great interest. This work describes the beta-endorphin effects on the corticosterone levels in plasma, as well as the production of key regulatory cytokines by murine splenocytes and macrophages. The dependence of the beta-endorphin effects from the used dose and exposure time was shown.
