Abstract
The stability of the evaporation surface of subsoil waters is investigated in the presence of capillary pressure, when a light liquid (a mixture of air and vapor) is above a heavy liquid (water). It is found that the instability arises in non-wettable and wettable soil with the capillary-pressure gradient.
