Аннотация

Извѣстныя еще въ глубокой древности перевязка и компресія шейныхъ сосудовъ (сонныхъ и позвоночныхъ) въ теченіе цѣлаго ряда вѣковъ третировались различно и подвергались самымъ разнообразнымъ толкованіямъ. (Интересующихся исторіей этихъ операцій отсылаю къ статьѣ N. Chevers’a, см. литературу). Было время, когда, признавая всю безнаказанность перевязки одной сонной артеріи, лигатуру двухъ каротидъ считали операціей, неизбѣжно влекущей къ летальному исходу.
