The Journal "State and Law" is published since 1927. Previous names: "The revolution of the law" (1927 to 1929), "The Soviet state and revolution of law" (1930 - 1931), "The Soviet state" (1932-1938), "Soviet state and Law" (1939 – first half of 1992), "State and Law" (second half 1992 - present). Founders: Russian Academy of Sciences; Institute of State and Law RAS. Published under the direction of the Department of social sciences RAS.
