Use of Fastum® Gele for the Treatment of Patients with Periarticular Soft Tissues Diseases

In 20 patients with periarticular soft tissues diseases Fastum® gele («Berlin-Chemi/A.Menarini», Germany) was used for local treatment. It is a new anti-inflammatory, analgesic ketoprofen. Fastum gele was applied in combination with massage and exercise therapy. Treatment course was 10 days. All patients recorded a good tolerability of the medicine. Treatment result was evaluated by dynamics of pain syndrome (at rest and movement) and changes of articular index. Significant improvement was achieved in 35% of cases, improvement - in 60% of cases. No essential improvement was noted in 1 patient (5%) who was treated by Fastum gele without massage and exercise therapy.
