Representatives of leading institutes of traumatology and orthopedics, researchers and practitioners of medical institutions of Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk region, as well as other regions of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Prokopievsk, Kazan, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Khakassia, Khanty-Mansiysk District) and neighboring countries (Ukraine, Belarus). An important event in the anniversary year was the assignment of the name of its founder and first director, Professor Vasily Dmitrievich Chaklin, to the State Federal Institution of Science, the Ural Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. The daughter of the founder of the institute, N.V. Chaklin-Gorbacheva (Minsk) and his student prof. THEM. Mitbreit (Moscow), with the direct participation of which the last book by V.D. Chaklin "Life. Quest. Meetings” (Yekaterinburg, 2000).
