S.D. Ternovsky, a major pediatric orthopedic traumatologist (100th anniversary of his birth)

Abstract

Professor Sergey Dmitrievich Ternovsky is considered to be one of the founders of Russian pediatric surgery. At the same time this versatile surgeon, who created his own clinical school, was a recognized traumatologist. In the last years of his life he was the Chairman of Moscow Scientific Society of Orthopedic Traumatologists. His close friends were N.N. Priorov, V.N. Blokhin, F.R. Bogdanov, N.P. Novachenko, V.D. Chaklin, M.O. Friedland, B.P. Popov, T.S. Zatsepin.
