Treatment of cervical pain syndromes using physical factors, manual therapy and exercise therapy

Abstract
Analysis of clinical-instrumental examinations and treatment results of 248 patients with cervical spine pain syndrome is presented. Thirty eight patients (control group) were treated by routine method. Two hundred ten patients (test group) obtained complex differentiated treatment taking into account the disease stage, variants of vertebral syndrome, presence of radicular pathology and myofascial pain syndrome. Curative management included manual therapy, physiotherapy and exercise therapy and was directed to the relief of pain syndrome, decrease of pathologic proprioceptive impulsation, improvement of blood circulation in damaged spine segments, normalization of functional state of neuro-muscular apparatus, elimination of neuro- vegetative disturbances and pathobiomechanic changes as well as maintenance of optimal motor stereotype. The application of elaborated program allowed to decrease the duration of treatment course and provided the prolonged remission.
