Issledovaniya solyanokislotnogo razlozheniya glinistykh shlamov kremnisto-titanovykh rud

Abstract

The chemical and mineral compositions of gray-colored and red-colored slurries formed during the disintegration of silicon-titanium ores of the Pyzhemskoye deposit are considered, and the results of a study on their hydrochloric acid leaching of 20% HCl in the temperature range of 40-200°С are presented. It is shown that an increase in the leaching temperature leads to an increase in the degree of opening of sludge, which is associated with the decomposition of a number of mineral phases. At temperatures of 40-100°С, the decomposition of siderite and goethite proceeds. The decomposition of clay minerals develops at a temperature of 90° C and above. The process is accompanied by the release of gel-like SiO2. Under autoclave conditions, the decomposition of pseudorutyl, as well as monazite and xenotime occurs simultaneously with the transfer to a solution of cerium, neodymium and yttrium. Complete decomposition of REM minerals is achieved at a temperature of 180°С. The non-decomposable solid residue is represented by rutile, quartz, amorphous SiO2 and zircon.

Abstract

The electrochemical behavior of tungsten and the VNZHK alloy (wt. %: W 90; Ni 7.2; Fe 1.8; Co 1) in solutions of (0.5—1.5 M) ammonium carbonate was investigated by linear voltammetry in a potentiodynamic mode. An increase in the maximum anodic density of the oxidation current of tungsten and the VNZHK alloy was revealed with an increase in the ammonium carbonate concentration. The process of electrochemical dissolution of the VNZHK alloy waste in a 1.0 M solution of ammonium carbonate was investigated by galvanostatic electrolysis, as well as electrolysis under the action of a sinusoidal alternating current of industrial frequency. The advantage of alternating use of direct and alternating currents is justified. It has been established that during the processing of the VNZHK alloy waste under the alternating action of direct and alternating currents, the transition of tungsten from the alloy to an ammonium carbonate solution is accompanied by the concentration of the iron subgroupmetals in the microdisperse sludge of electrolysis. A basic technological scheme for the tungsten extraction from the heavy tungsten alloys waste with the production of ammonium paravolframate as the final product is proposed.

Abstract

The research results on the development of a new generation Mg-REM-Zr fire-safe magnesium casting alloy system are presented. Serial magnesium alloys do not have both high strength at room temperature and a sufficient level of heat resistance. A unique domestic foundry magnesium alloy has been developed with consistently high specified properties at the same time. In addition, the obtained ignition temperature indicators of the developed alloy allow it to be attributed to the group of fireproof magnesium alloys. The conducted studies of the  its heat treatment  parameters made it possible to choose the optimal mode that ensures the achievement of high strength characteristics of the alloy.

Povyshenie effektivnosti i kachestva propitki alyuminievym rasplavom poristogo uglegrafitovogo materiala posredstvom gal'vanicheskoy modifikatsii ego poverkhnosti

Abstract

The possibility of increasing the filling degree of open pores with aluminum melt during the impregnation of carbon-graphite material by applying metal-galvanic film coatings to its surface is investigated. Two types of electroplating coatings are used - nickel and combined coating consisting of copper and cadmium layers. Impregnation of the coated samples was carried out using autoclave-free technology in a special impregnation chamber.  It is shown, that metal-galvanic coatings contribute to a lighter flow of aluminum melt into the pore cavity, providing a full-fledged impregnation of carbon-graphite material with a matrix alloy at reduced temperature (≤ 900°C) and pressure (3-5MPa).

Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study of the mutual influence of concentrators of the "dent" type, made by a hemispherical indenter with a diameter of 25 mm to a depth equal to the thickness of the sheet, and a "hole" with a diameter of 4 mm in thin 1.5 and 3.0 mm thick aluminum alloy 1163AT on static strength and fatigue. The presence of a dent did not lead to a decrease in static strength, while the combination of "dent + hole" concentrators reduces the strength to ~ 8% regardless of the location of the hole in the dent. The position of the hole relative to the center of the dent practically does not affect the slope of the fatigue curve, while the displacement of the hole from the center to the edge of the dent leads to a decrease in durability.

Abstract

Numerical simulation of unsteady processes during laser butt welding of a plate made of porous titanium and a monolithic (non-porous) titanium plate is performed. The influence of the laser beam position relative to the welded surfaces on the quality of the resulting joint and the geometric seam characteristics is considered. The calculated welded joints parameters of porous and monolithic plates are in satisfactory agreement with the physical experiments results.

Abstract

The results of the thermodynamic estimate of probability of titanium carbide crystallization from iron-carbon melts is proposed in paper. The Gibbs energy of the corresponding chemical reaction was chosen as a crystallization criterion. The influence of the melt composition and its temperature on the process of formation of titanium carbide particles is determined. The alloying of castings from alloys based on iron group metals with titanium carbide, which is formed in the melt due to the reaction of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) between the components of ligature (titanium and carbon black), makes it possible to obtain dispersed TiC particles with the size of 4 – 8 μm, which leads to an increase in the materials hardness by 20 – 30 %.

Abstract

The technological influence effectiveness of plasma flows on the treated surface of 30HGSA steel during electric arc vacuum ion-plasma (EVIP) treatment was evaluated by measuring the surface relief, volt-ampere characteristics, the values of the surface potential, as well as using short-term corrosion tests to experimentally determine the chemical activity of the surface. It is established that when treated with an independent gas discharge with an increase in the reference voltage, the surface cleaning efficiency increases, however, the distortion of the relief and the  energy state heterogeneity of the surface increase. It is shown that when processing using the "Plugus" module, high cleaning efficiency and activation are achieved
surfaces with a moderate level of relief distortion and a more uniform energy
state of the surface. As a result, a reproducibility higher level of the service properties of coatings is provided.

Abstract

The surface tension and density of Co-Sn and Co-Sb melts with introduced Al2O3 nanoparticles (dmid = 41 nm) were studied by the large drop method. A related change in the structural properties of the metal, in particular the inversion of the surface tension temperature coefficient, has been revealed. The influence of Co+ (Al2O3-Sn/Sb) ensembles formed on the density of melts is considered in the framework of the metallic melts quasi-chemical theory. So, if for the Co-Sn-Al2O3 system, looseness, as a rule, decreases, then in the Co-Sb-Al2O3 system, on the contrary, it  increases. This indicates a different influence of the ensembles Co+(Al2O3-Sn) and Co+ (Al2O3-Sb) on the change in the cluster structure of the melt and its surface properties.

Abstract

The results of studies of the structural-phase state of copper and tin mixture powders (12-20 wt.% Sn), formed during high-energy mechanical processing in a planetary ball mill, are presented. The effects of mechanochemical synthesis of composites during sintering and formation of the structure of sintered bronzes are considered. The relationship between the tin content and the formation of grain-boundary segregations and their influence on the properties of materials is shown. Thus, an increase in the concentration of tin contributes to the acceleration of grain-boundary interactions, a decrease in the rate of bulk diffusion, followed by the formation of supersaturated bulk and grain-boundary solid solutions. For the composition of the mixture with a tin content of 18-20 wt.% during mechanochemical synthesis, grain-boundary supersaturation with tin is achieved by more than 2 times, which contributes to dispersion strengthening of sintered materials based on them and provides microhardness within 2.1-3.0 GPa in a temperature range of 20-800 °С.

Abstract

The only way to increase the impact of elastic-plastic alternating bending on the properties and structure of metal materials is to go beyond the minimum input gap set by the nomogram from the operation manual of the EcoMaster®25 precision roller straightening machine. Analysis of the position of the working rollers when they are in contact and after the setting of a gap between them showed that within the limits of reducing the input gap by 30% from the boundary set by the nomogram, the possibilities of implementing the alteration process remain. Analytical dependences are constructed to determine the input gap for any values of the thickness of strips or sheets in the range from 1 to 3 mm, in which the distribution of the total equivalent intensity of the principal true strains is especially effective. The additivity of this magnitude of the deformation effect on metallic materials (along with the intensity of the principal true strains) is proved, which allows to consider it as a measure of the accumulated strain.

Abstract

The paper demonstrates a technique that combines the use of artificial intelligence and the finite element method to analyze the production process of the liner – the seamless part of composite overwrapped pressure vessels obtained by tube forming. Instead of expensive physical experiments, computer simulation was used, which made it possible to quickly obtain "big data", including the main technological parameters of tube forming process, some metal flow features and the tendency for defects to appear. The processing of the data array was carried out in MATLAB using neural networks and a genetic algorithm for the multi-objective optimization problem. As a result, the influence of technological parameters on the formation of the liner geometry was determined, and the optimal variant of their manufacture was proposed, which is of practical interest to companies producing metal-composite cylinders.
