Abstract

The technical design of a source of collimated laser radiation is considered. The source is constructed according to a calorimetric principle and implements a self-similar thermal regime of operation in direct and reverse electric power supply of the laser diode. A measurement process algorithm by means of which the radiating power at the output of the source may be determined from an estimate of the difference in the power of the electric current in direct and reverse actuation of the diode is proposed.
