Abstract
The composition and thermal and technological properties of coal from the Bayantig deposit in Mongolia in a semicoking process were determined. It was established that the coal is vitrinite-type long-flame coal, and it gives an increased yield of liquid tar in the semicoking process. The composition and properties of semicoke and liquid tar as target semicoking products were characterized. Possible directions of the qualified use of semicoking products were determined based on composition characteristics.
