Abstract
We endeavor to take into account the extra-relativistic effects in the mass-energy relation due to Einstein. We consider a modified mass-energy relation and consequently find a strict bound on the Chandrasekhar limit for a white dwarf star. We find that the said limit gets modified to a certain extent, and we have been able to find the maximum mass of a stable white dwarf star.
